    1. Vintage Leaf Banner

    • Printed pages: old books, sheet music, old maps, handwritten letters or newspapers (we used a text-heavy grocery store flyer).
    • Our free pennant template and a sheet of card stock
    • Tape
    • Twine cut to the length of your banner

    2 & 3. Hanging Ornament/Napkin Rings

    • Floral wire
    • Wire cutter or scissors
    • Yarn/ribbon

Mini Make 1: Vintage Leaf Banner

Mix and match botanicals with color paper and ribbons to make unique and personal bookmarks.

    1. Cut the pennants

    • Download, print & cut the free pennant template using card stock.
    • Trace the template onto printed pages (old books, maps, sheet music, handwritten letters, etc.).
    • Cut out 8–12 pennants.
  • 2. Add the leaves

    • Fold the top ½ inch of each pennant to create a twine channel.
    • Glue a leaf or acorn (or a few small ones) to the center of each pennant, avoiding the top fold area. Let dry.

    3. String and hang

    • Flip each pennant over and run the twine along the crease of your top fold
    • Glue the fold shut across the back, leaving room for the pennant to move.
    • Adjust the pennant spacing.
    • Hang the finished banner on a mantel, doorway, dessert table, or anywhere that needs a little quiet magic!

    1. Make the pin loops

  • 2. Attach the loop

    • Tape a wire loop to the back of your leaf, acorn or cluster.

    3. Finish and hang

    • Thread the yarn, twine or ribbon through the loop, and hang.

Mini Make 3: Napkin Rings

Elevate your table with a leaf-wrapped ring. Mix colors or add a tiny acorn for rustic flair.

  • 1. Roll a napkin

    • Fold and roll a napkin so that it keeps its shape.
    • Follow directions from the Acorn-Leaf template to make an acorn, leaf, or cluster with a loop pin.
  • 2. Tie the Pin Loop

    • Cut enough ribbon to wrap around the napkin, ensuring the loop stays loose enough to easily slide off when it's time to eat.
    • Keep the cut ends on the front or top part of the napkin.
    • Secure the ends with glue.

    3. Add the botanical

    • Position the twine, yarn or ribbon and the leaf/acorn on the napkin and secure.
    • For twine or yarn, tie a knot at the back of the napkin and trim the ends.
    • For a ribbon, tie or make a loop and cut.

Add an oak leaf name tag to a miniature pumpkin for a memorable fall place setting.
